Not Quite Rockefeller Center

So it's not quite Rockefeller Center, but the Christmas tree in downtown Lincolnton is very lovely and on Sunday, Marty and I went downtown for the annual Christmas Parade and tree-lighting ceremony.

Two things I'd like to share about the actual lighting itself. The first, is that since that day they have indeed fixed the strand of lights that's out right in the middle of the tree. And second - and I am not joking - when the woman who was responsible for actually lighting the tree (thankfully not Britney Spears) flipped the switch - the lights did not come on!
